Special commemorative puck to celebrate the retirement of James Ferrara's #17 shirt on the 17th October 2021.

Ferrara is a Peterborough local who came up through the Peterborough junior system before debuting for the Phantoms in their 2003/4 opening season. As well as pulling on the Phantoms jersey, he also featured in the Great Britain Under 18 and Under 20 teams and played for the Elite League’s Nottingham Panthers 186 times between 2005 and 2010.

But it was with his local club where he became a legend. James made 671 appearances in Peterborough to sit second on the all-time list behind Jason Porter (693). He has also amassed 564 points in that time – the highest of any British player to grace the Peterborough hockey scene. Along side those impressive stats, his 181 goals is the third-best tally by a Brit (10th in all) and his 400 assists are also the most managed by any Brit (second overall). He was the club Captain for the last 7 years of his career before retiring at the end of the Covid shortened 2019/20 season.
